Hi there, I’m Dichi Al Faridi.
By day, I work as a Product Engineer focusing on backend systems at Merchant Platform, part of Gojek. Most of my work revolves around building and scaling solutions with languages like Golang, Java, Kotlin, Elixir, and JavaScript, connecting internal platforms with the broader merchant ecosystem to help businesses run smoothly.
Underneath the technical specs, I have always found that the best way to deal with chaos is to lean right into it. I tend to look at engineering and life through a pragmatic lens. I value clean execution, honest architecture, and real substance over hollow pretension. When a challenge gets messy, I prefer to put my head down, turn the friction into focus, and build something reliable out of the noise.
Most of that thinking happens quietly under the surface, driven by personal discipline and an appreciation for precision. At the same time, I make sure never to take myself too seriously. Despite the engineering background, I keep things balanced with simpler, low-key rhythms: dialing in a good cup of coffee, heading out for a bike ride, or unwinding with a PC game.
This space is where I share those reflections, experiments, and the occasional technical deep dive. If you want to talk shop, swap ideas, or just chat, feel free to find me on Twitter (@alfaridi) or Telegram (@alfaridi).
